Shisk Tawook Recipe - For 400 grams of Chicken Breast - 2 times @ 200g per meal
Ingredients:
- 1/4 Cup Yogurt
- 1/2 Tbs Mustard
- 2 Tbs Olive Oil
- 1/4 Cup Fresh Lemon Juice
- 1/2 Tbs Tomato Paste
- 1/2 tsp Paprika
- 1/4 tsp Dried Thyme
- 1/2 tsp Sea Salt
- 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
- 1/8 tsp 7-Spice Blend
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 3 cloves of crush galic
Marinate for the Chicken:
- 1/2 Onion Chopped in Thin Slices
- 1/4 bunch of Parley, stemmed and chopped
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 and 1/2 tsp Sumac
Ingredients for the Onion/Parley Salad:
Instructions:
- Mix the aforementioned ingredients in a bowl and place 400 grams kilo of bite sizes pieces of chicken in the bowl. Let it mariante for 24 hours.
- There are two ways to cook this. First way is on the grill and second way is in an oven. For the grill method, place wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes. Then add each piece of chicken with a piece of sliced onion, tomato and bell pepper. The same instructions applies to the oven method. In either method, the skewers need to be turned every 3 to 4 minutes for a total of around 12 minutes (4 turns) until the chicken is cooked.
- On a warm labenese bread, add a layer of onion & parley salad and garlic cream. Add the chicken and then roll the labenese bread.
- Serve with humas.
- For the Onion/Parley salad, add all the ingredients and give it a good mix.
